Note there were two men named Thomas Williams in Maine and New Hampshire. One was Thomas1 Willliams of Saco and the other is Thomas1 Williams of Portsmouth. It is hard to argue that Paricia Hatcher, FASG and Michael Leclerc were in error given their credentials when they stated that Ann's father was living when in "4 May 1682 when Thomas Williams of Saco River acknowledged at York, Maine, having deeded all his estate 17 Dec 1681 to Phineas Hull for support. He was in Saco, Maine by 1635." They clearly cite Noyes, Sybil. Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire (GDMNH) but the later source ascribes the Saco deed to Thoma1 Willliams of Saco. GDMNH indicated that Ann was probably daughter of Thomas1 Williams of Portsmouth. Thomas1 Williams of Portsmouth as "he was in want and sick at Wm. Richards’ ho. in Jan. 1674-5, liv. sick and poor in Oct. 1675" indicating that was died around that date. And Thomas1 Williams of Saco is covered in Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Volume VII p 435 and had no daughter Ann. So I think we may want to assume that Thomas1 Williams of Portsmouth (not Saco) was the father of Ann. Note Ann widow of Thomas Wannerton may have been Ann's mother.
