The Clinton Herald Monday December 19, 1932 p. 5 Henry C. Price, whose father was mayor of Clinton in the early days, died at 4 o'clock Sunday morning in Jane Lamb hospital, having been ill with flu and pneumonia. The body reposes in the Mathias Price home, 144 North Fifth street, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Henry Price was born June 28, 1855, in Sabula, the son of Richard C. and Louise Martha Price. He came with his parents to Clinton when he was but nine years of age, his father developing a brick yard that served the early residents for many years. Mr. Price entered the employ of the city as a policeman May 17, 1889, serving until his retirement 14 years ago. He was married to Miss Margaret Belles who died March 15, 1928, and leaves to mourn the following sons and daughters, Thomas, Lyle, Harry, Mathias, William and Richard Price, the latter of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Charles Kramer of San Francisco, Walter Price of Elmhurst, Ill., Miss Ruth Price and Mrs. Harry Schawl. There are also 17 grandchildren. He leaves also brothers and sisters, the Misses Estelle and Ada Price and William Price of Chicago and Richard Price Buckmaster of New York city. Buckmaster was the family name in England whence his father came.

The Clinton Herald Saturday March 16, 1929 p. 5 Mrs. Henry Price, 144 North Fifth street, passed away last evening at 7 o'clock after four years of ilness. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the First M.E. church. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery. Mr. Price's sister and brother, Stella and Will, are to come from Chicago. Margaret Belles was born 61 years ago in Sycamore, Ill., and married to Henry Price in Clinton. She leaves her husband and ten children, Richard of Omaha, William, Florence (Mrs. Kramer) of San Francisco, Walter of Carroll, Mamie (Mrs. Harry Schawl) Matthias, Ruth, Harry, Lyle of Rockford, Ill., and Tom of Dubuque. There are fourteen grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Mary Belles, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Dewey of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. A.E. Pinney of Clinton. Mrs. Price was a member of Lyons chapter, O.E.S., of Star of Truth lodge of Rebekahs and of the Woman's Relief corps, 10, a past president of this latter organization. The body will lie in state at the church from 2 to 3 o'clock. The Woman's Relief corps will have their ritual at the church and the Rebekahs at the grave.

The Clinton Herald Tuesday December 27, 1988 p. 12 The funeral will be 2p.m. Wednesday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home for Thomas H. Price, 77, of 145 Fayette St., who died Sunday in University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. The Rev. Richard Hohl of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, where an 8 p.m.Masonic Rose Croix service will be conducted by Sam McKenrich. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Price, Harry and Charles Schawl, Dale Walwer, Joseph Shadle and Marvin Olson. Mr. Price was born Jan. 25, 1911, in Clinton, to Henry andMargaret Belles Price. He married Margaret Parchen, Sept. 3, 1932, inClinton. He attended the Clinton schools and was employed as a boilermaker and a scheduleer planner at Clinton Corn Processing for 44 years, retiring in 1974. Mr. Price was veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army, where he was a tech sergeant serving in the Pacific Theater in the Philippines. He was awarded a Silver Star for gallantry. He was a member of Western Star Lodge, No. 100 A.F.&A.M.; Scottish Rite Bodies; Izaak Walton League; VFW Post Tallman-Lewis, No.9664; Moose Lodge No. 363; and First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
