1881- living with family at Cow End, Ashen, Essex, England. Age 45, working asAgricultural labourer. Family = wife Sarah (49), and children Walter (19), Charles (15), Laura (11) and Harry (8). As well as these children, he also had a son, George A. Plumb, who was living with a relative in Greenwich, England (see notes for George Plumb) and maybe also additional sons including Alfred (Ag. lab. Ashen, Essex) and William (Railway Platelayer, Wood Green, Middlesex) who were both 41 in 1901 (twins?).

1901-still alive age 65 and working as highway labourer, Ashen, essex. Census didn't give address. Household=wife sarah (69), son walter (age 32, no occupation, "imbecile since childhood"). Note that theage of Walter doesn't match that on the 1881 census.
