Came to Friendsville with his brother James Pieronnet and died almost immediately. From HPP family history:

"Thomas had bought a tract of land in Friendsville, PA and had persuaded his borther to come to America. Thomas was well-educated, a graduate of Dorchester (England] (ST: whatever that means) spoke seven languages and had traveled in South America where he had amassed a large fortune. He was living with a family named Salter when he died in bed shortly before the arrival of his brother. It was believed that he had a large quantity of buillion in his room, but no trace of it, nor of his will was ever found. The Salters soon after moved to Philadelphia and lived there in great style. Two years after Thomas' death, two men arrived from S. America to inquire about Thomas' heirs to his estate, which they said was considerable but this clue was not followed up."
