That Thomas had a son John is clear from Thomas' will. In 1746 John and Atalanta Outten sold property in Worcester county. I can't be sure this is the correct John but he's the best candidate that I have at this point. On February 21, 1767, the estate of John Outten, deceased, was settled. Jesse Outten was granted letters of administration on the estate of John Outten, desceased. From this I've theorized that Jessee was the son of John. If this Jessee was indeed the father of Purnell Outten then he must have moved to Delaware after John's death. There seems to be no further trace of him in Accomack or Worcester Counties so this seems reasonable. Jessee's widow Nancy petitioned the Sussex Co court regarding Jessee's estate. We do know that Jessee Outten had a son Purnell as stated in my earlier message. 5 DEC 1999
