Facts and Events
Thomas took to the sea, and was called "Captain and Mariner." When he married, he retired from seafaring and settled on Dover Neck, where he became a ship builder. He made several voyages to England and France, serving as master on his own ships. From one of these trips he brought fruit trees and originated the once celebrated "Millet Apple," which was supposed to be a variety of the Normandy pippin. For 20 years he was Judge of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, and he was known as the "Hon. Thomas Millet" in his latter days. Millett gives the date of his death as "1 Aug. 1761-3". References
