Thomas Hanlon

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 22, 1979 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Thomas G. Hanlon

Thomas G. Hanlon, the son of Thomas and Catherine Hanlin Hanlon was born at Mason City, Iowa on March 10, 1889. His death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on January 17, 1979 at the age of 89 years 10 months and 7 days.

He received his education in the Public Schools in the vicinity of his birth.

During World War One, he served in the United States Army. He later came to Nebraska and for several years, was employed by the Consumer’s Public Power District as a salesman, until his retirement in the late fifties.

On December 31, 1956 he was united in marriage to Maxine Peterson at Omaha. They made their home in Aurora, where they were residing at the time of her on death on August 20, 1978. He continued to make his home in Aurora.

Tom was a member of the American Legion Post in York for several years.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank J. Hanlon; and three sisters, Mrs. Nell McDonald; Mrs. Sarah Stevens and Margaret Hanlon.

His survivors include one step daughter, Mrs. Marlene Eddy of Omaha; two nephews, Francis McDonald of Mason City, Iowa; and Dr. J. Richard Stevens of Tallahassee, Florida; three nieces, Mrs. Henry Miller of Scotts Dale, Arizona; Mrs. Eleanor Hughes of Phoenix, Arizona and Mrs. Mary Moin of Tacoma, Washington and other relatives and close friends.
