Did Thomas Gillispie Who Died Friday Night Aged 90 Years *

Thomas Gillispie, one of the oldest residents of the city died at his home Friday night at 10 o'clock after suffering many years.
Mr. Gillispie was ninety years old. He was born in the county Tyron[e], Ireland and came to this country when fourteen years old.
June 21, 1861, he was united in marriage to Miss Jane Dixon of this city and with the exception of one year spent in Lordstown, they lived their entire married life at 132 Belmont street. Mr. Gillispie was a member of the United Presbyterian church while there was one here.
Aside from his wife, two sisters survive him. They are Mrs. John Anderson of East Market street, this city and Mrs. Oswalt of Girard.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of his niece, Mrs. John Dillert of North Park avenue and will be in charge of Rev. Reinhold of the Presbyterian church.

[Note*: Thomas was about 80 years old when he died according to all census records.]
