Know your Eynon and Related Families by Luella Grace Eynon Garton. Thomas Eynon was many years older than his wife, Mary who was his third wife. He had a family by each of his wives. He was chrs. 3 Dec 1749, Lawrenny, Pemb., Wales. He was known as the strong man of Wales. To prove his great strength he would lift many heavy objects into the air. In those days, working men wore heavy boots called clogs. On the last occasion of his wight-lifting, the object was so heavy that it caused the nails in his soles to penetrate into the bottom of his feet. He died as a result of blood poison, leaving his widow, Mary and their only living son, Richard. |
