    Thomas Eastup Sr. appears on the Frederick Co debt books for "Rock Spring" and "Kemp's Friend" for the years 1753 through 1756, 1766, 1768 through 1772...On 25 Aug 1772 Thomas Estub sold to Thomas Gist for £30 all of a tract called "Rock Spring" containing 62 (sic) acres and situated in Frederick Co. adjoining "Valleys and Hills, Toms, and Wills" and "Lime Pitt."
