    Estate to daughter Rachell Elliss, and in the event of her death to the six children, whose names are not given, of her (Ellien Elliss) sisters Lowry and Gwen.

    In the Passenger List Thomas Ellis is listed as arriving in Philadelphia PA in 1683 with wife Ellen and children Ellis, Humphrey, and Ellenor.

    Thomas Glenn - "Welsh Founders of PA" - on page 16 it gives information about Thomas Ellis. It indicates there was first wife, name unknown, and the children of the first wife were Ellis, Humphrey, Eleanor, Bridget.

    Nina Bigsby in her book has details about Thomas's activities after coming to America and his participation in the Quaker movement.

    In the book "Passengers and Ship;s Prior to 1684" Compiled by Walter Lee Shepparde, Jr. it has Thomas and his 3 children by his first wife arriving on the ship "The Bristol Factor" which probably included William Penn as a passenger as his arrival date seems to conincide with this ship. It arrived in Virginia and then up the Delaware to Pennsylvania. Humphrey was listed with 4 hats, 8 pairs woolen stockings; 10 yeards English ticking; 19 garments; 3/4 bushel oatmeal; cwwt. cheese.

    Thomas's certificate from Redstone Meeting, Pembrokeshire for his wife and family was dated 2 7m 1683 for his wife and family was dated 2 7m 1683 and filed at Haverford Meerting.

    He was a F.P. of 1000 acres, by virture of which a warrant was granted him 24 1m 1683/4for laying out his land.
