    "Thomas Ellis, of Medfield, 1649, may be the same who was baptized at Wrentham, England, 1629, and married 1659 [sic, 1657 by record], Mary, daughter of Thomas Wight, of Dedham, had Mary, 1660; Abiel, 1662; Samuel, 1664; Thomas, 1686 [sic, 1666]; Patience, 1668; Ruth, 1670; Thomas, again, 1674; Joanna, 1677; and Juda. He died 1690. His widow died 1693."

    Widow Ellis married (1) before 1620 _____ Ellis, and (2), probably before 1633, Lambert Genery. She died before 14 May 1658. … In the list of admissions to the (Dedham) church … The wife of Goodman Genery, 4 Dec. 1640." She brought two sons Richard Ellis an Joseph Ellis. John Ellis, Ann Ellis and Thomas Ellis were also in Dedham and Medfiled but it unknown if or how they were related to Widow Ellisand her two sons.

    Thomas Ellis of Dedham was brother of John Ellis of Dedham [page 374]. He came to Medfield in 1651/2. He built his home on North Street in 1653 and is still in possession of the family today. He married Mary Wight who died 1683. He died 1690. Children listed.
