In 1769 Thomas Davenport Dockery, Sr. and a handfull of others including the surnames Webb, Thomas, and covington migrated to Anson Co., NC from Queen Anne's County, Maryland.
With Thomas came his children by his first wife, Hannah Covington. She died in Maryland in 1768. The children were: Hannah, Thomas Davenport Jr and Michael.
In North Carolina he married Anne Stone abt 1770 and had the following children: John, Esther, Nathan and Matthew M. Dockery.
