Possibly related to John Davy, chr 14 April 1741, son of John Davy & Mary Dowson. John married Elizabeth Balls in nearby Frostenden on 6 Jun 1769 and they had ten children, four in Westhall and the remainder elsewhere in the county. [1]

Possibly descended or related to Francis Davey, son of Sibell Davey nee Flatman, of Westhall, Suffolk, who was prosecuted in 1607 at the Star Chamber with others for assault, perjury, unlawful assembly, contempt and defamation, arrested in a church service in Starston. [2]

There was another reference to a Francis Davy (possibly the same person) who owned a messuage and lands in Westhall in 1623 and was taken to court for non-payment of church tithes. [3]
