"In the Boston Record of Births is the entry:
1645 - Thomas of William & Mary Davies born 3d 7th month.
And in the records of the First Church is:
1645 - Thomas of William Davisse, aged about 5 days bap. 7d 7mo."

The author nevertheless concludes, based on other evidence and arguments, that "there can be little doubt that" this Thomas was the son of William and Margaret (Pynchon) Davis.
