Thomas Jefferson Connor was a missionary for the United Brethren Church.
He was a founder of the Philomath College in Oregon.
He was a founder of the United Brrthren Church in Oregon.
He was from Hartsville, Indiana.
As head of a wagon party of 98 persons, he started to Oregon in the spring of 1853.
He and his wife filed land claim 2294 in Benton County in 1854, sections 8 & 17 of T12S R5W
He also established the first general store in Philomath Oregon..
