    OCCUPATION: Carpenter (as indicated on the apprenticeship of his son, William, 25 April 1672 [EQC 7:21)) and husbandman (as indicated on oath of fidelity in Beverly 3 December 1677 [EQC 6:401]).
    FREEMAN: "The following freemen who had also taken the oath of fidelity voted for Woodbery: … Tho. Chub, Sr. …" December Term, 1675 [EQC 6:102].
    BIRTH: Crewkerne, Somersetshire, about 1609 (deposed aged about seventy years, 27 November 1679 (EQC 7:310]; deposed aged about seventy-five years, November 1684 [EQC 9:344 and ELR 7:11]; deposed aged about seventy-seven years, 27 March 1685 [EQC 9:439]).
    DEATH: Beverly 17 October 1688, aged about 82 years. "Thomas Chubb who was born in Crewkern in old England in the County of Summersett aged about eighty two years departed this life on the seventeenth day of October in the year of our Lord 1688" [original Beverly VRs unp.].
