    "Thomas (Bill) bp. (Ringstead) 18 March 1626/7; d. Boston 29 Oct. 1696; m. (1) Boston 14 11m [Jan.] 1652[/3] widow Elizabeth (Sargent) Nichols, who d. Boston 5 March 1657[/8?]; she was a daughter of William Sargent and widow of David Nichols of Boston (NEHGR 75:141); Thomas Bill m. (2) prob. 1659 Abigail (Willis?) Leader, widow of John Leader. Mildred, widow of Michael Willis of Boston, called her 'my daughter Abigail Bill' in her will of 1680 (Michael's will does not name his daughters [NEHGR 48:324]; Suffolk Co. MA PR 6:379-380). She is usually considered a daughter of Michael Willis, whose wife was named Joanna when Abigail was born; she must have been either Mildred Willis's stepdaughter or Mildred's own daughter by a previous marriage."
