Was “of Wethersfield” in Dec 1693 when he quitclaimed his interest in his father’s lands in Middletown to Joseph Butler. Two months later, he drew an allotment of common lands as a resident taxpayer in Wethersfield, on Feb. 23, 1693/4. His name also appears on a list of residents between 1704 and 1710. In Feb 1749/1750, William Biggs, “late of Midletown...now Resident in Harwinton”, sold his interest in Wethersfield common lands that “did of right fall to my Hond Grandfather Thomas Biggs”. William’s father has not been identified, and some of the chilren attributed to John might be his. References
