Battey Council Bluffs, Iowa 1932 Page 69 Thomas Sheldon Battey, son of Sheldon and Eliza S. (Blashfield) Battey, born probably Loisville, Ga., 1824-25, died Providence, R. I., 28 Mch. 1902, aged 77 yrs., married of and at Providence, 10 Jan. 1848, by Rev. Jonathan Leavitt, Elizabeth Knight, daughter of Stephen and Wealtha (Brayton) Knight, born 8 Jan. 1826; she of Warwick. In 1879 he resided 429-31 High St., or corner of High and Battey Streets, in Providence. No record of children.
