The following announcement appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer on 7 March 1903:

“CHESTER, Pa., March 6. - Rev. George Stibbitz, Ph.D., of York, Pa., and Miss Mildred A. Murphy, of Ridley Park, were married at the home of the bride by the Rev. S. T. Linton, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Miss Theresa Murphy, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Frederick Eickoff, of Philadelphia, best man. The groom is pastor of the First Reformed Church of York.”
