  8. " Thelma L. Zimmerman died Sunday, September 28, 2003, at WhitehouseCountry Manor nursing home at age 74. She was born on April 14, 1929, inFostoria, Ohio to Clarence and Iva Zimmerman. She was a secretary forthe Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1973 ontotal disability. Thelma was a long time resident at Whitehouse CountryManor where everyone loved her smile and positive attitude towards life.She was active in the resident council meetings, crafts and allactivities, as well as, all church programs. The family extends sincerethanks to the loving, caring staff at Whitehouse Country Manor forgiving her a good life for the past 22 years. Also, thanks to Hospice ofNorthwest Ohio for the care and comfort given to Thelma and her family.Survivors include loving sister, Pauline Osgood; special niece, Vicki(Tim) Baker; special great nieces, Stephanie, Stacy, and Chelsea Baker.She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia Bank, andspecial brother-in-law, Bertram Osgood. There will be no visitation andburial services will be private. A memorial service will be Monday,October 6, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Whitehouse Country Manor Nursing Home.Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to Hospice ofNorthwest Ohio or Whitehouse Country Manor.
