"… Temperance (Norton) Adams, who was born in Boston 16 March 1697/8, the widow of James Adams of Boston and the daughter of Daniel and Temperance Norton. … Temperance died, probably in Stratford, between 3 March 1743 when she was called 'sole executrix' of her husband's estate, and 15 April 1743, the date her step-son, George Gorham, was appointed as administrator for 'the estate of Temperance Gorham, late of Stratford.'"
