I am also a descendant of Richard Lincoln Preece & Elizabeth Price. Their son Alexander Boone Preece is my great + grandfather. I show the following: Richard Lincoln & Elizabeth had a son William Martin Preece, Sr. who I have married to Mary Elizabeth Giddens. I have a marriage date of May 22, 1825 in Pike Co. & I have their son Taylor Winfield Preece married to Lucinda Francis Shannon in Travis Co., Texas on February 28, 1867. I don't have any information on children of Taylor & Lucinda. It is possible that Taylor's father was named William Martin & Taylor had a son he named William Martin as well. I do know that your Taylor had a brother William Martin Jr. who married Ann Rutledge. I don't know if this helps. I don't have an Effie or a May Bell Whitt. Good luck.
