    Sylvia Mae Greathouse, 83, of Coburn, WV died Thursday, October 28, 2010 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center in New Martinsville.

    She was born May 15, 1927 at Coburn, a daughter of the late Leroy Inze Gump and Holland Lucinda Lowe Gump.

    Mae sold Avon in the Pine Grove area for approximately 15 years and formerly attended the Myers Chapel Church.

    Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James Larry and Sandra Greathouse of Coburn; one granddaughter and her husband, Christine and John Harper of Coburn; one great-grandson, Tyler Harper; two brothers, Denzil "Peck" Gump of Hundred and Gail Gump of Jacksonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Cy" Greathouse; one sister, Rachel "Dink" Alley; and two brothers, Jack Gump and George Gump.

    Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Rev. Tim Amundson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lowe Cemetery at Coburn.
