Thomas Anderson, wife Susan and family in LaSalle Co. IL in 1860then she shows with daughter Jane on the 1870 census in thehousehold of a James Overright. Susan was living next door toEliza Roots who was the head of household. This Eliza Roots wasEliza Anderson and living with Susan and Thomas on the 1860census. She married John Roots in LaSalle 7/4/1864.

February 2007: I am now claiming the above Thomas and Susan Anderson as theparents of Martha. I found Martha in their household in KentEngland on both the 1841 and 1851 UK census records. This inaddition to Martha stating she came to the US in 1852 whichcoincides with the birthplaces of her younger siblings, provesto me that they are her parents.
