    NEVADA � Steven D. Fowler, the son of Donna (Barrons) McCloud and stepson of Robert McCloud, went home to our Heavenly Father on April 4, 2007, after a long illness in northwest Las Vegas, Nev.

    Steven served in the United States Army as a sergeant, doing basic training in Oklahoma, a tour in Germany and Washington, and was honorably discharged.

    He was in construction and owned his own private investigation service.

    Steve was also a avid hunter and fisherman and was involved in building a Wild Mustang rescue ranch in Sparks, Nev.

    We will miss his humor and desire to always be a better person. He leaves many that will love and miss him.

    Those surviving are sons, Jeremy MeShawn Fowler of Templeton, Calif., and Danney J. Fowler of Manistee; and their mother, Geni of Houghton Lake; daughter, Teneal Fowler and son, Timothy Fowler, both of Guam. Also surviving are sisters, Deboran (Thomas) Ryan of Jackson and Roberta McCloud of Kalamazoo; brothers, William (Jodi) Caswell of Muskegon, Richard McCloud of Kalamazoo and Orval B. Fowler of Oregon. Steven also leaves many family members.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, step-father, sister and a brother.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 1 p.m., at the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Ingersoll will officiate. Burial will be in the Benzonia Township Cemetery.

    Memorials may be directed to the family.
