Source: http://www.migrations.org/individual.php3?record=11880:

Stephen (or Steven) Gunn was born in Vermont around the year 1799. His parents names have not been recovered. He married in 1823 to Margaret Shupe in Lorain County, Ohio.

Margaret was born in 1804 in Pennsylvania to Jacob Shupe and her mother's name was Catherine. The family lived in Lorain County Ohio where Stephen was a farmer. His son Jacob and family moved to Ionia County Michigan in the mid 1850's. Many of Jacob's brothers and sister moved to Michigan also, but I do not know when. Stephen and Margaret also moved to Michigan as they were living with their son Stephen in Grand Haven in 1870 and also in Clarksville in Ionia County in 1880. The family did have a family bible which was printed in 1845 and had the birth dates of their living children written in the front of it. Stephen died 26 November 1883 in Clarksville and is buried in the Clarksville Cemetery. I am unsure what happened to Margaret.
