[As indicated, Mooar places Stephen in the family of David and Joanna, even though no such birth is recorded. He mentions a will, but provides no details, and this will may be his impetus for the inclusion in this family. (Stephen did name his first daughter Joanna, but that was his wife's mother's name as well.) However, given Stephen's wife's birth in 1765, his marriage to her in 1795, no age specified at death, and a very poorly documented set of sibling births, it seems unlikely he was a twin with Ebenezer. There are plenty of other places in this family where his birth would fit.]
