Stanley was an ardent supporter of Israel. Ariel Sharon gave his eulogy when Stanley was buried in Caesarea, Israel. Stanley contributed to the founding of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, built a wing within Mount Sinai Hospital of Medicine and named a school after Marsha Dane, The Marsha Stern Talmudic Academy for Boys.
