  5. The mother of Simon Willard is not clear. On 9 Dec 1710, his father's wife was Sarah Nutting, and the previous child was born about 6 years earlier than Simon (in 1703), so it is possible Simon is the child of Sarah, with Abigail having died in the six year gap.
