This memorial includes transcripts of multiple sources. One item says that DAR lineage chart #507618 gives his death date as 8 April 1845, while a probate court notes the he died intestate "it is said on or about the 5 day of May AD 1845". This was 6 months less a day before 4 Nov 1845 when the the probate judge appointed an administrator. It is possible that there was a reason for making it look like no more than 6 months had passed since his death.
