Silence ye Daughter of Joseph Allen & Abigail his Wife was born in that Part of Watertown now Called Weston about ye 2'd Day of November 1712. [The editor's note says records before 1713 were taken from those at Watertown, and the town clerk must have inadvertently used the name of Joseph's wife at the time that he copied the record, as this birthdate would require the mother to be Elizabeth, not Abigail.]
