I have no proof that Silas is a son of this Peter and Mary; however, he is enumerated with them in 1870. Also, according to information from Larry Noah, he is the son of Peter and Mary VESTAL Shoffner. Death certificate shows birth 30 January 1852 and death 8 August 1923. Buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery
