Disputed Lineages

Simeon states that Sigrida married "Arkil filius Fridegistia", "Eadulf comes", and "Arkil filius Ecgfrith". The PASE site interprets "Eadulf comes" as being Eadulf Cudel, but Cawley has her marrying Eadulf, the son of Eadulf Cudel's brother Uhtred. Since Sigrida's mother was Uhtred's repudiated first wife, PASE's suggestion has Sigfrida marrying her step-father's brother, and Cawley has her marrying her step-father's son. (Perhaps "step-father" is not quite the right word.)
