Sherman Green, President of Auto Dealership, Dies
Sherman F. Green Jr. of 67 West St., Rocky Hill, president of Brainard Ford, died Thursday at Hartford Hospital He was 55. Born in Battle Creek, Mich., he lived in Rocky Hill 17 years, He was former vice president of the former Soulen GMC Sales and Service Co. and branch manager of the International Harvester Co. 20 years-. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rocky Hill, president of the trustees of the church and served as lay leader for the church the longest term in its history. He was a Marine veteran of World War II, a member of the Kulurah Shrine, Binghamton, N.Y., and the One Hundred Club. He leaves his wife, Marilyn Belinger Green; two sons, Michael L. Green and Thomas L. Green and a daughter, Bette Sue Green, all of Rocky Hill; a sister, Mrs. Suzan G. Lock of Grand Haven, Mich., and two grandchildren. The funeral is Monday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours.
