Scott Meiks , of this city, has been appointed manager of the Indiana Producer's Commission Association and took charge of the office today. Announcement of the appointment of Mr. Meiks to the position was made Tuesday evening, following a meeting of the directors. Mr. Meiks will succeed D. L. Swanson. Mr. Swanson resigned the position at Indianapolis to accept a position as manager of the Chicago Producers' Commission Association at Chicago. Mr. Meiks has been connected with the Indiana association for a number of years, and for some time has been serving as the secretary. He is also a livestock marketing director of the farm federation. Mr. Meiks was the first president of the Shelby county farm bureau, and continued in that office for several years. During the meting Tuesday, the board voted to refund a patronage dividentd of twenty-five per cent, of the commissions of the association during the year ending March 31. It was stated that the refund will total about $40,000. It will o to the farm federation members over the state who have marketed their livestock through the producers' commission firm.
