Sarah Wilson's origins have yet to be established. If the age given when she died was correct then she was born around 1779. Her first confirmed sighting is in 1799, when she had a son called John baptised at Kirkby la Thorpe in Lincolnshire. John's father was said to be a William Allen.

Three years later Sarah and William Allen did get married, in the neighbouring town of Sleaford on 30th August 1802. They do not appear to have had any further children after their marriage.

Sarah died in 1807, when she was said to be 28 years old. She was buried at Sleaford on 7th October 1807.
