Sarah Willmore had 4 children with John Ramsey, who left her widowed at age 26. About 1906, she answered an ad for widower Albert Bever, father of 3, looking for a new wife. They then had three more of their own. They were said to have been mentioned in Ripley's Believe It Or Not, with the riddle "Sarah Willmore had four children, Albert Bever had three children, and together they had ten children."

They lived alternately on a farm near Jackson Township, and in Hillsboro. They moved from the farm to Hillsboro, but found it too noisy (from the train?) and moved back to the farm, but later came back to Hillsboro again.
