Her Death

Since no other family connection with Colchester appears, Mr. Trowbridge's statement that she died at Colebrook seems most likely.

"… d July 1804 (at Colchester)"[1]
"… d July 1804 (Colchester)"[2]
"Sarah died Jul 1804 in Colchester, New London, CT."[3]
"Sarah Sabin, daughter of Col. Hezekiah and Mercy (By gravestone; Mary by New Haven Town Records) (Power) Sabin, born July 20, 1745, in New Haven; died in July, 1804, in Colebrook, Conn. … After [her husband's] death his widow and children removed to Colebrook, Conn., where the family of the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Edwards, the husband of her sister, resided."[4]
""Jonathan Edwards (the younger) graduated from Princeton in 1765, then studied theology under Joseph Bellamy, of Bethlehem, Connecticut. He was a tutor in Princeton (1767–69) and a pastor in New Haven, Connecticut (1769–95). After serving as pastor in Colebrook, Connecticut (1795–99), he went to Schenectady, New York, to serve as president of Union College. … died on 1 August 1801, and was buried in the churchyard of the First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady, New York."[5]
