5. A. - The Renfrow family probably came from Virginia, as many of the name lived in Bedford county. Turpin Renfrow, an early settler of Mongomery county, died in 1808 before the deed for his land was recorded, leaving a widow, Sarah, and 10 children. The widow married in 1812 Enos Miles. the records show that Hannah, Moses, Elizabeth and Mary made quit-claim deeds to Enos Miles and that he was guardian of John and Henry Renfrow.
