Sarah Ann Price was born 18 March 1762[6], the daughter of Francis Price and Esther Dunn[2]. She married James Hamilton about 1781, the actual marriage record is unknown. Sarah died in Sussex County, New Jersey on 11 Sep 1844 and her death is mentioned in the Sussex Register on 12 Sep 1844[5]. She is shown as the wife of James Hamilton on the Hamilton Memorial in the Baptist Burying Ground of the Hamburg Baptist Church[7]. Her father, Francis Price, mentions her and James Hamilton in his will.

In the Estate of Francis Price, a division of land is given for four heirs, Sarah Hamilton, Azubah Goble, Elizabeth Bowman and Ester Gustins sons[4][8].
