  5. Her obit reads, "Mrs. Sarah Patterson Smith, age 92, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Boon Cochran, near Canton, GA, Saturday, Dec 14, following a long illness. Mrs. Smith was a former resident of the Loving Community of Fannin County. She was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church for many years. Surviving are six daughter, Mrs. Milford Garrett of Ball Ground, GA; Mrs. Hoke Lowry, of Mineral Bluff; Mrs. Boon Cochran, of Canton; Mrs. Charlie Eubanks, of Nelson Mrs. Jim Nicholson and Mrs. Emory Nicholson of Fairmont, GA. One son Fred Parris, of Canton, GA; one step son Rob Smith, of Atlanta. One step daughter, Mrs. Mary Sluder of Atlanta. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec 17, from the Oak Grove Baptist Church, interment in the church cemetery. Chastain-Pack in charge."
