    The death of Mrs. Sarah Alice Harrell occurred Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the Wabash hospital where she had been confined for several days following a stroke of paralysis.

    Mrs. Harrell, whose home was at 421 Congress street, was a life resident of this community. She was born in the county, March 26, 1854 to Robert and Clarissa (Burns) McDaniel. Her first marriage was to William F. Strickler who preceded her in death in 1905. Three children from this marriage survive, Mrs. Dora Tilman, Chicago, Lemoine Strickler, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Howard Strickler, Wabash.

    Mrs. Harrell's second marriage was to William H. Smith who died Jan. 4, 1919. She was married for the third time to William Harrell who preceded her in death in 1933. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Jake Hoffman, Wabash; a brother, Charles McDaniel, Kalamazoo, Mich., 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the family residence. Burial will be in Falls cemetery. The body was taken from the Jones Funeral home to the residence Thursday afternoon where friends may call.
