Sarah Clifton Hill was the second wife of Thomas Harold/Harrell Evans. Thomas had first married Sarah's Sister, Edith Clifton. Thomas was also Sarah's second husband.

Thomas and Sarah had eight children, most of whom were born in Johnston County, North Carolina. The family then migrated to Northern Tuscaloosa County Alabama. The place they settled came to be known as Evanstown, which is atop Ol Tyro Mountain. At least one of the sons gave land to build Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church and cemetery. Sarah Clifton Hill Evans was the first one to be buried there. See Sarah's grave marker at FindAGrave

Probably daughter of Azel (1770-1821) and Sarah (1760-1813) Pool Clifton, also the parents of Rev. Joel Blake Clifton, signer of Seth Thomas and Mary Jane Johnson Evan’s marriage license. More research needed.
