  3.   Source:Farr, Timothy M. Stephen Farr of Concord, Massachusetts, p. 10, shows Sarah Stone Farr, d/o of Stephen Farr Sr. and Sarah Stone, b. Stow 19 Jan 1734/35, d. Harvard 21 Apr 1773. On p. 17, it shows Sarah Farr, d/o Stephen Farr Jr. and Sarah Bennett, b. Stow 19 Jan 1735. The vital records for Stow have a birth of Sarah Farr on 19 Jan 1735 to Stephen and Sarah, so this appears to be two people created for one birth. And while this source has no marriage indicated for either Sarah, the death date in 1773 would imply that Sarah Farr married Josiah Whitney. But since Family Tree Maker trees are cited as sources, this carries no authority, and is indicative of the poor quality of those sources.
Because one would expect the first, or other early daughter to be named after the mother, and because this birth is 11 years after the previous birth to Stephen and Sarah, it is assumed Sarah belonged to the son Stephen Jr.. There is no differentiation in the records between the children of Stephen Sr. vs. Stephen Jr. and both had wives named Sarah with no record of when the younger man married. It does not seem like Stephen Sr. would have had all the children born to "Stephen and Sarah".
