Unlike her husband, Sarah described herself correctly in the 1880 census (S3) as a native of Canada with Canadian-born parents.

However the birth year of 1840 recorded for her (S3) cannot be correct since she married in 1850 (S1). Her husband was born in 1824. An estimated birth year of 1830 seems appropriate assuming a transcription error in the census.

She had no children living with her in 1880 (S3) suggesting either that they were childless or that any children had all married, or died, or moved away before 1880. There are no children listed in genealogies viz (S2).
