  2. Source:Bond, Henry. Family Memorials. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 194, shows Sarah, b. 1675, as a daughter of Family:John Cutting and Susan Harrington (1). No birth record is found, the date apparently estimated to file a gap between siblings. This is incorrect.
The will of Zechariah Cutting of Watertown, dated 5 Mar 1729/30, mentions son-in-law John Whitney and daughter Sarah his wife [Middlesex Probate 5698]. It was proved in 1732 (interestingly, the probate of Zechariah Cutting Jr. was opened in 1732 as well, even though his father's will indicated he had died before the father's will was written over 2 years earlier, naming "Elizebeth Cutting ... my son Zacheriah Cuttings Widow"). Since very little is known about Zechariah, it is not known if the estimated birth of 1675 still applies, since there is no age at death, and it makes her 5 years older than her husband, but 1675 is still the estimate used by Whitney Research Group.
