Jacobus appears to have considered it probable that the Sarah Carrington who married Benjamin Lines was the daughter of Zebulon & Sarah (Johnson) Carrington, and, further, that it was this Sarah who later married Reuben Thomas. Although Sarah was at least a decade older than Reuben, Benjamin Lines and Reuben Thomas were first cousins, and both Sarah and Reuben had been widowed with 12 or 13 children between them.
