 In Stanford Ken., the county seat of Lincoln County, we found some interesting things. You need now to focus on the William Shipley who is buried in the Shipley-Morrow cemetery in Cooper county, Mo. From study in Stanford Bill has determined that William's father Was Samuel Shipley. In Stanford we actually found his will--the 9th will ever registered in Kentucky. It was dated 1811. And it is in the courthouse in Stanford. The first will ever recorded there. What a rare find.
 Samuel had a brother Thomas born 1784 in VA.  Thomas married Maria Wade Shipley December 20, 1809.  Samuel died in 1811.  We think we know where he is buried--just north of Stanford--but are not sure. No markers. Son William and daughter Isabella go to live with uncle Thomas and aunt Maria Wade.
